The long awaited northern areas tour has just concluded. Everyone showed to the office smiling and happy this morning. The hot topic of every coffee table conversation today is how awesome the tour was and how everyone is feeling relieved and fresh and ready to deal with tough long working days again. It’s surprising how much positivity a meetup with nature brings into a person.
We started of early in the morning (technically it was late in the night) in our van heading towards Abottabad. We didn’t stop until we reached Balakot. We had an amazing tea there with a beautiful mountain landscape infront of our eyes. After tea, we continued our journey towards Naran. We had a momentary stopover at the Trout fish farm as well. We arrived Naran at mid day. This was probably the best time to visit Naran because of very small number of tourists.
Naran was glowing with autumn as we saw it. It was beautiful, we also witnessed first snowfall of the season at lake Saif ul malook. Our cottage accommodation at PTDC was like you hear in fairy tales or see in the paintings you hang in your living room – a living dream it was. Turquoise river flowing on the front and a water stream coming out of a side. There is no music more beautiful than the sound of nature. Shadowing it were tall snow capped mountains and autumn scenery around the cottage.
Some guys visited Babusar top to enjoy the snow covered landscape while the gray-haired club stayed and enjoyed serenity and peace. We had a night stay at Shogran as well on our way back. This concluded our tour for this year but the memories, laughs and newly made friendships would last for long.
